[Top Ten Tuesday] #6

This is a meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish where each week bloggers share a list of books for the prompt given.

This Week's Topic: Top Ten Five Books  I was forced to read

The Catcher in the RyeCatcher in the Rye by J. D. Salinger
This was actually the first book that I was forced to read and I didn't really like it that much. I think it's because I was new to the whole American system when I moved here that I didn't pay a lot of attention. I might have to re-read it.

FeedFeed by M.T. Anderson
I accidentally borrowed this book from my teacher once and forgot to return it. So to clear my conscious  I had to read it so I wouldn't feel too bad. This turned to be an okay read which surprised me.

The Great GatsbyThe Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
Love love love this book! I only read it once but remember really liking it. I actually just watched the movie that recently came out and definitely gonna buy it on DVD, it was awesome!

Twilight (Twilight, #1)Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
Yes... I was actually forced to read this one by my best friend. She's completely obsessed with this book and I had to support her. I did watch the movie first and thought they both sucked lol

Romeo and JulietRomeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare
We had to read this for school and then make a play out of it so unfortunately I don't remember anything from this book lol I think the way he wrote was very confusing and I never really took the time to understand it.

What's on your list today? Leave the link below so I can stop by and check it out!! Happy Tuesday! xoxo

  1. Yeah I wasn't into classics either! Every time I had to read a book for class I ended up hating it! The only one I liked was my first pick in my top 10 picks!

    Here's my Tuesday Post

    Have a GREAT day!

  5. Oh, see, but R&J is such a quintessential part of popular culture. If nothing else, you ought to check out the Baz Luhrmann version with Leonardo DiCaprio and Clare Danes. I used it when I taught 9th grade and my students loved it. But R&J is everywhere...
