With all the vampire, werewolf and faerie books out there, it's easy to become numb to all things supernatural. The antidote? Darkhouse introduces two real and unforgettable characters, Perry Palomino & Dex Foray, amateur ghost hunters who are "attractive, relatable and oddly heroic," "flawed but loveable," "slightly crazy" and just the most endearing pair to ever tackle the paranormal...just don't call them normal.
Darkhouse is a thrilling and sexy new take on concepts like Supernatural and The X-Files, bringing a breath of fresh air to a genre that has been inundated with the dead.
This is a different kind of book full of mysterious events and humor. There are ghosts, romance and a little bit of everything. The setting is mostly in is the Lighthouse but also include Portland, OR & Seattle, WA.
My Castings
Perry Palomino

to be happy. Meeting Dex is very unexpected but seems to turn her whole
life around.
Dex Foray
is Seattle's sexy camera man that works for Shownet that casts
different TV shows online. All he wants is for something different in
his life that he can call his own. Dangerous and mysterious, you never
know what his next move will be and who he really is.
Short Story Overview
After
Perry's family decides to go on a little vacation to Uncle Al's house,
she walks off to lighthouse that stands on her Uncle's property. Every
since she was little he told her not to go near it and now that's she is
a grown woman, she is curious and extremely bored. Little did she know
that she will meet Dex who wants to find something supernatural within
the lighthouse. And even though he is extremely hot, she is blinded by a
white light and terrible sounds. After getting live and some other
series of events, she gets a phone call from Dex wanting her to do a TV
show about what they saw and that's where the best part begins.
Some Thoughts
I
abso-fucking-lutely loved this book!! I cannot even tell how amazing
this book is. I want to start walking around and telling people about
this amazing book. (stop rambling stupid girl). Anyways. I usually don't
read any books about the supernatural things and even though I do tend
to watch some TV shows from time to time, I cn now see what I have been
missing out. The feeling that you get that something is about to happen
is even better than being buzzed (if that is even possible) and it's
just like in the movies where you scream at the television so that the
stupid girl wouldn't go into the dark forest.
And the humor! Oh how I love Karina's humor! There have been so many times that I was just laughing my ass off because of a certain line. I could tell that she put a lot of details into her writing and that's what made it so good. I am getting the second book NOW & the whole series is on my list to-read! ENJOY!!!
