  1. The most fun I've had this summer was going to pick up my friend from the airport. Sounds boring, but the trip to and from was fun. :D

  4. The most awesome thing I've done so far this summer was go to the zoo with my girlfriend. We went around the whole place in a tram, got to see all our favorite animals, and got ice cream fresh from the farm. The best part of the whole thing was that we got to pet sting rays and sharks as part of a hands-on special exhibit. Emily surprised me with a wax molded kangaroo, and at the end of the trip I ended up buying three plushies- a little wolf for one of my best friends back home, and a meerkat and a red panda for myself. I am clearly an adult ;)

  7. I've done lots of cool things this summer actually! An English friend of mine came to visit for 2 weeks and we did so many fun things! We went to a waterpark for a day and had the most amazing day, we visited a pirate cave (where the guide couldn't speak a word of English so I had to translate everything she said), we spent many days at the beach sunbathing and swimming... And I also went camping last weekend with some of my friends and saw the most beautiful beaches! :) Thanks for the giveaway!

  11. It is beach weather RIGHT NOW. I'm in Sodo, by SafeCo field, and it's something like 90 degrees out there. Mostly this summer, I've been sick. But reading a lot. :)

  12. I was given the opportunity to go to the beach at Folly Beach in SC. I live in SC but up by the mountains, so it is a bout a 3 hour drive. My husband was not able to come that day because of work, and I was invited there by a friend that was in a beach house. I didn't think I would get to go. I complained to my mother in law, who very promptly volunteered herself to take us there ( me and the three kids). It was a perfect day! We did miss daddy but it was the first time my 6 year old had ever seen the ocean! We sure were blessed by my mother in law.

  13. This summer I traveled to:
    -Indiana to visit family
-Pennsylvania for vacation with my dad. We went to Gettysburg and a bunch of other cool historical places!
-Chicago for vacation with my mom. We went shopping, ate yummy healthy food, walked around looking at the sights, got chicago style popcorn, went to Navy Pier
-Northern Indiana my grandmother in getting new hearing aids (I teach deaf and hard of hearing children so she wanted my opinion about everything!)

Thank you for the giveaway :)

  14. This shocks some people but I am 46 and this summer I went to the beach for the very first time in my life. I had a fantastic time, one of the best things was when we went to a club next to the beach with a live band and I was in the front row singing and dancing like a teenager for 4 hours straight, it was wonderful.

  15. This summer I haven't done anything special. I planned to make this my reading break & it worked. I got done w/ books that I haven't had time to read all year. I do plan on going to a book festival in August. Hope to meet Stephanie Perkins. Wish me luck. I hope I don't lock up or become a creeper.

  16. All this summer I have been taking care of my husband who had foot surgery. He can not put any weight on his foot and the doctor gave him a scooter to get around in. I re-arranged the furniture so he can get around the house on his scooter. The awesome thing is that we came up with a came and we have a special route around the house and we time it. Who ever wins does not have to do the dishes. Not that is awesome because I always win!

  18. Well, one of the best things I've done this summer was going to a summer camp with a lot of friends and meeting a lot of new people/friends there. We had much fun, even though the weather was a lot of times rainy and I really wish I will be able to visit the camp next year again! :)
Also I talked a lot with my mom which we don't do very often, since I don't live with her. But I'm so glad we improved on our relationship. :)

  21. Yes!! My kids and grandson and I went to Disneyland. It was SO MUCH FUN watching my grandson seeing Disneyland for the first time. And when my grandson went on his first roller coaster ride you should have seen his face! My daughter got it all on video. We all had a blast! I cannot wait to go again.

  23. In June, I found out that I had two weeks to pack up and move cross-country. We packed up the house we've lived in for 20 years and put it up for sale, then caravanned with two U-Haul trucks, one car, and our dog to our new town. We had a lot of funny-not-funny adventures during the drive - getting our 26-foot U-Haul stuck on a barrier pole at a gas station (needed roadside assistance to help get us unstuck!), staying in a motel that I would swear was haunted if I believed in haunted houses, and deluging rain that made impossible to see out the windshield - but we all got here safely after four days on the road! This town, incidentally, is where I was born, but I hadn't been back here in 20 years, so I'm calling it my new-old-hometown. It's been a crazy summer so far, and I'm just starting to catch my breath. When people ask if I went on vacation this year, I tell them that I definitely could use a vacation right now, but I think I've done enough traveling for now!

  24. The most awesome thing that happened around my home this summer is that our family was able to get some serious health conditions resolved. This will make it possible to plan something fabulous for next summer and to enjoy it as a family.

My favorite and most awesome memory of a previous summer was in 2008 when I won a trip to Panama City Beach, Florida from Veggie Tales. We stayed in a gorgeous 3 bedroom condo right on the beach with a view of the emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico. We spent every night at Pier Park, wandering around and taking in the atmosphere, had a fabulously entertaining dinner at Margaritaville where I got to be the "woman to blame," and shopped in some local shops that sold local art. Every morning was Thomas' Donut Shop on the beach where there are some yummy choices like Key Lime..it's different every day...and sitting outside at a picnic table looking over the water. There was more and I could write a novella about it.

  25. The most fun thing I did this summer was drive 2 hours to a Books-a-Million just to raid the bargain section. I felt pretty proud of myself. :)

  26. The most fun thing I did this summer... well I got to hang out with my friends, who I haven't seen in nearly a year. We planned to go to the beach but it started to rain so we had to scrap that idea. We made a group decision to go to the mall. But on the way there my friend got us into a minor car accident. She brushed up against a pole and scratched her car up (Doesn't sound fun but she was able to get someone to fix her car for cheap.) We were able to get her to stop thinking about her car and have a good time by going to Dave and Busters where we played at the arcade for a few hours.

  27. Last week I stayed at my friends family's house all week,... there were 19 of us(22 if you count the 3 dogs lol) that stayed at the house! During the week my friend daughter & son, & my other friends husband had a birthday,... so we had a party & there were about 40 of us. My friend rented a bouncy waterslide for the party, & after all the kids were on it for a long while, we decided it was our turn. So we kicked the kids off & the adults had some fun lol. We had a cookout, played volleyball, set up a few other lawn games, took out the go-kart & drove around the yard with the kids. And after I had changed back into my clothing after being on the waterslide, my friends father threw a bucket of water on me!!! His 4yr old granddaughter tried to get him with the bucket & I was near by laughing,... well he took the bucket out her hand & turned & threw it at me! I was shocked lol. So I got an ice cold bottle of water out of the cooler & acted like I was checking something out by the go-kart he was near & when he wasn't looking I ran up & got him back lol. This is my 2nd family & I love hanging with them. We always have fun! <3

    Thanks for the giveaway!!

Take care & I hope you have a great day! =)

  28. I walked in dinosaurs' footsteps!

Well . . . around them, anyway. I took my four-year-old to Dinosaur Valley State Park in Texas, where there are dinosaur tracks preserved in the riverbed. We swam in the river and checked out the tracks and had a day full of dinos.

  30. I and my friends went to a lot of places this summer :) We went to the beach, a resort, some music festivals and a bunch of food bazaars (we love to eat lol). It was the most fun I've had in a while, and I really missed them! We were all so busy with school and work so it was great to spend this time with them again. We definitely made some awesome memories that I'll treasure forever :')

  36. I’m not someone who travel much. But i remember going to an amusement park with my highschool friends. It’s kind of pack when we got there. So the lining up was really long. We had to wait at least an hour just for a ride that less than a minute. But it’s fun, tiring, but fun. Because we got to spent it with our friends. We rarely meet each other due to our schedule. So when we have a holiday a head of us, plan’s already been made. And since it’s reaaaaallly packed. We decided to just watch the most popular, yet dangerous one in Dufan. Tornado. Untill the sun set. And in the end we only rode 3 rides. :) Haah I miss them already.

  37. The most awesome thing that happened this summer was that my son had his cleft palate repaired. I know it might sound awful (and the surgery part was, don't get me wrong!) but he was such a champ and recovered amazingly well, and even in the few weeks since the surgery, he has started to babble, which he couldn't do before, and, in a few weeks, he will be allowed to try to eat real food (I know, silly mom stuff, but it's exciting). He's just my little hero, and I am so, so happy he is on the mend.

  39. Mostly been getting ready for my second year of college. But its my first year in a dorm. Other than that I went to visit my grandma which I was so happy about because I usually only get to see her 1-2 times a year. She lives pretty far away. The most amazing thing though, was my grandma gave me a HUGE surprise jointed with my parents...She gave me her car to drive to and from school...!! I am now the proud owner of my first car, a green Kia Soul. I have been going through a rough time medically for the past year and a half, which is why its my first year in a college dorm, and I feel like my life is finally coming together. I finally get to live, and I know its going to be rough learning to take care of and support myself, but I can't tell you how excited I am to finally get the chance to work towards my future goals.

  41. I had an early holiday and went traveling to Australia and NZ. Coolest thing I did was probably go bungee jumping off the Auckland Bridge (so scary, but so much fun) Oh and go see Hobbiton haha.

  42. I haven't done much but reading tbh. I have been on a mini getaway though!
We took one night at a hotel nearby, my boyfriend and I, and we took part of this fun local festival called "the mussle festival" - it was mostly elder people, so we felt kind of the odd one out lol. But we made some great ("old") friends! We shared a bottle of wine and had so much fun! And the mussles were so good, very tasty! :D

  43. We went to the new Diagon Alley at Universal Orlando. I took about 100 pictures that day, drank lots of butterbeer, my husband had the new butterbeer soft serve, we both bought interactive wands (Hermione for me, Dumbledore for him) and we had fun "casting spells." Even my husband, who considers himself very mature and grown-up, was having a blast with the wands. We both enjoyed starting the troll puppet show. We took the Hogwarts Express to Hogsmeade, but since we have been there about a zillion times, we rode it back to hang out in Diagon Alley the rest of the day. We somehow missed the Three Brothers show, but hopefully we will be back soon (hooray for having annual passes). Did I mention that my husband and I went for our 11 year anniversary? He proposed to me at Universal, so it was only fitting that we went there to celebrate.

  47. I've done plenty of fun things this summer! I traveled to the future to hang out with Warner, Juliette, and Adam. I also got to know an assassin named Celaena (who can be funny, but also very scary). I revisited Hogwarts a couple times and went to Paris with Anna. I met a lot of nice, funny, strong, and just plain crazy heroes and heroines. It's been a pretty good summer so far. :D

    Thanks for the giveaway!
