I had a chance to get the CD right before our snowboarding trip and by the end of it we were all signing along. I loved how free and real their voices were which makes them the perfect trio! Loved the CD and cannot wait to hear more about them!

About Mercy River
With 13 children between them, it’s amazing that Whitney Permann, Brooke Stone, and Soni Muller have time for anything other than runny noses, sock hunts, and prying suckers off the van floor. But music has been a part of each of their lives since childhood, and is now a strong presence in their homes.

The three friends met while singing in the Jenny Phillips Choir and there found a common love for tight harmonies and sharing the gospel through song. Over the past five years, Mercy River has traveled all over the United States and Canada as a highly sought after ensemble, performing for thousands of people while testifying of the Savior. Each member of the group brings several years of experience performing, writing, and directing hundreds of firesides and concerts—as well as recording on dozens of inspirational albums.

Their self-titled debut album was released in May 2008. “Beautiful Dawn,” was released in March of 2010. Their third album, “Higher” was released with rave reviews in February 2012. Mercy River is back with mesmerizing harmonies and upbeat vocal arrangements in “Come Alive”.

Composed of 4 vocal artists from the Rocky Mountains, Hudson Lights creates a fresh fusion of contemporary pop and jazz like you’ve never heard before! HUDSON LIGHTS will release their self-titled debut album November 12, 2013. They released a single, “Good to Me”, on iTunes in September.

The group is composed of four male vocal artists from around the country: McKay Crockett, Keith Evans, Joseph Moore and Ross Welch. Together they create a fresh fusion of contemporary pop and jazz music.

The upbeat album features classic covers of legends like Frank Sinatra and The Beatles. They also have several original songs.

Bob Ahlander, director of music at Shadow Mountain Records, says “Hudson Lights fills a void in the music scene.”

They have already had some notable performances. They debuted at the Marriot Center during the BYU Women’s Conference Concert in May, and placed 2nd in a contest to open for Kelly Clarkson at the STADIUM OF FIRE in June.

On November 22nd they’ll perform for a crowd of 10,000 as part of Deseret Book’s “Time Out for Women” event at the Maverik Center. Tickets are available here.

This was my first experience with Hudson Lights and I was mesmerized by their performance. The mix of contemporary pop and jazz is brilliant and their voices compliment every single note. 

Every song in this album has a story behind it and while you hear the beautiful music, your mind brings up the pictures of the lyrics. It's uplifting, refreshing and definitely gets you in a better mood. 

My favorite song in this album was Autumn Leaves which was a combination of French and American lyrics. The words, the story, and the music made me feel like I was in an old movie, driving to meet my soulmate in beautiful gown and 50s style hairdo. 

Definitely open my eyes to jazz and made me find different kind of music.
