[Book Review] On Every Street - Karina Halle

On Every Street - Karina Halle
When young con artist Ellie Watt decides to call herself Eden White and go after the drug lord who ruined her as a child, she never expects to fall for one of his henchmen. But Javier Bernal is no ordinary man. Subtly dangerous and overwhelmingly seductive, Eden finds herself passionately in love with Javier, the very person she's set-up to betray. With her body and heart in a heated battle against her deep need for revenge, no one will walk away from this con a winner.

Overall Rating: 5 stars

SHORT SUMMARY: Ellie Watt has decided that it's time to take care of her life and get the revenge that she has always dreamed off. After getting some training done by the old family friend Gus, she changes her identity and starts planning. All she wants is revenge. Sweet revenge that will help her to get over her ruined life. When she meets the mark, Javier, who is the closest person to the monster that ruined her, she cannot help but fall in love with him. She forgot her revenge and everything that she planned ever since she was ten years old. He told her he loved her and that she will always be his Angel. He told her that he will come looking for her if she left. He told her that she was his everything... But he lied.

THOUGHTS: OMFG!!! I absolutely love this book. From the beginning I was charmed by Javier and felt the exactly same thing that Ellie was feeling. The love, the insecurities were so catchy that I think I even had a dream about them! Those romantic moments when Javier touched her cheek and smiled with his super sexy eyes.... Argggg how much I love him as a character! But then... BOOM!!! The author made my heart break a little bit. I still cannot recover from the wilds turns in the book and how the feelings were changing by the page. I love Javier, I hate him. I love Javier, I hate him.. Grrrrr. Best to say this was the best book I have read and as always, Karina Halle did an amazing job! I am looking forward to continuing Ellie's story in Sins & Needles.

My Castings

Ellie Watt is a 20 year old woman who is seeking revenge. Her parents used her when she was little and because the con went wrong, her whole life was turned around. When her parents left her, she was forced to pretend to be someone else so she could get her revenge and finally move on with her life. But when the closest person to the monster is a hot Latino man, she ends up falling in love and even breaking her heart.

Javier is a 23 year old Latino who is so hot and dangerous, it is hardly possible for women not to drop their panties right there in front of him. When he meets Ellie (or the person who she made up to be), he swore to her that he loves her. That he loves her so much that if she ever left, he would find her anywhere she went.
"You are all mine, even if you run. I will find you because a soul needs it's other half to truly live"

  4. I love love love Camden (who you'll meet in Sins&Needles) but Javier is a beast of a different kind. Even knowing that ending was coming...I still came totally unglued. Halle is freaking master.
