A girl who can see the past tries to save the future in this compelling tween mystery.
A girl is missing. Three girls are lying. One girl can get to the truth.
Emily Huvar vanished without a trace. And the clues are right beneath Raine’s fingertips. Literally. Raine isn’t like other eighth graders. One touch of a glittering sparkle that only Raine can see, and she’s swept into a memory from the past. If she touches enough sparkles, she can piece together what happened to Emily.

When Raine realizes that the cliquey group of girls making her life miserable know more than they’re letting on about Emily’s disappearance, she has to do something. She’ll use her supernatural gift for good . . . to fight evil.

But is it too late to save Emily?

What's in Barrie's Bag?
I recently downsized to this mini backpack. My previous purse was much larger, practically a suitcase, and was probably in the process of causing me Dropped Shoulder Syndrome. (Yes, this really is a thing; I just googled it. J)
Anyway…about the stuff I don’t leave home without…
-a book: I’m just coming to the end of this one. Alias Grace by Margaret Atwood. Highly recommended, btw.
-wallet: Even if it’s bereft of cash, there’s always the debit card, credit card, gift cards. A few years ago, I cleaned out the kitchen junk drawer and discovered $800 in gift cards. True story! I’m still happily working my way through them.
-sunglasses: prescription. Need I say more?
-dental floss: My dental hygienist is very persuasive.
-cream: I live in So Cal, Land of Dry Skin
-keys: Sadly, these are not always IN my purse, but hiding somewhere in the house, attempting to make me late! Note the library “card” on the key ring.
-notebook: for jotting down lists, writing ideas, etc. But where is a pen???
-lipstick: current fave is Blushing Mauve by Revlon. Approved by my 14 year old daughter.
-gum: sugarless. It’s the influence of that persuasive dental hygienist again.
-MY ELECTRONIC LEASH AKA MY CELL PHONE: which is missing from this photo. But, believe me, I never leave home without it! In fact, I’m probably on it right this very second!
