[Book Review] Storm by Brigid Kemmerer

Storm (Elemental, #1)Storm
by
Earth, Fire, Air, Water – they have more power than you dream.

Ever since her ex-boyfriend spread those lies about her, Becca Chandler is suddenly getting all the guys—all the ones she doesn't want. Then she saves Chris Merrick from a beating in the school parking lot. Chris is different. Way different: he can control water—just like his brothers can control fire, wind, and earth. They’re powerful. Dangerous. Marked for death.

And now that she knows the truth, so is Becca.

Secrets are hard to keep when your life’s at stake. When Hunter, the mysterious new kid around school, turns up with a talent for being in the wrong place at the right time, Becca thinks she can trust him. But then Hunter goes head-to-head with Chris, and Becca wonders who’s hiding the most dangerous truth of all.

The storm is coming . . .

I have been hearing about Elemental series for so long and finally decided to start it as a part of my 2014 Series Challenge. I wasn’t sure of what to expect since buzz for books are often overrated. But OMG! Imagine four five hot guys that can control elements, badass explosions, dangerous storm, and one girl who is stuck in between of all of them.

Story begins when Becca sees Chris getting his ass kicked by couple of guys that she used to see around the town. After saving his life, she finds out that he lives with his three brothers ever since their parents were killed. She senses strong connection but it doesn’t help that each and every one of them are jerks. When Chris opens up and reveals to her that they can control the elements and are being threatened by the Guides – she finds herself being in the middle of everything.

This was an amazing start to the series. No cliffhangers, but the love for characters makes me want to continue reading it further. I wasn’t too sure of Becca at first but as the book went on, I definitely started liking her more. I don’t even have to say anything about the Merrick brothers. Every single one of them was unique and totally hot. Yes, even Michael. Couldn’t think of a better characters for elemental control. & the cover?? Yummmy!
